Vail Resorts to Acquire Peak Resorts, Owner of 17 U.S. Ski Areas

Vail Resorts today announced it has entered into a definitive merger agreement to acquire 100 percent of the outstanding stock of Peak Resorts at a purchase price of $11.00 per share, subject to certain conditions, including regulatory review and Peak Resorts’ shareholder approval. Through the acquisition, Vail Resorts will add 17 U.S. ski areas located near major metropolitan areas, including New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Columbus, St. Louis, Kansas City and Louisville.

Vail Resorts to Acquire Falls Creek and Hotham Ski Resorts in Victoria, Australia

Vail Resorts announced today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase the ski fields at Falls Creek Alpine Resort and Hotham Alpine Resort in Victoria, Australia. The acquisition, which is subject to certain regulatory approvals, is expected to close prior to the commencement of the Australian snow season in June 2019.

Vail Resorts Announces Mountain Division Leadership Changes

Vail Resorts today announced a number of leadership changes to take place in its mountain division this spring. Doug Lovell, vice president and chief operating officer of Vail Mountain will retire from his position effective May 1, 2019. Beth Howard, vice president and chief operating officer of Beaver Creek Resort, will succeed Lovell, while Nadia Guerriero, vice president and general manager of Northstar California Resort, will be promoted to vice president and chief operating officer at Beaver Creek Resort to succeed Howard. These changes will also occur on May 1, 2019, and the search for Guerriero’s replacement at Northstar will begin immediately.

Vail Resorts Announces 2019-20 Pass Partner Change and New Keystone Plus Pass

Vail Resorts announced today that the Company’s pass partnership with Arapahoe Basin will end after the 2018-19 ski season. A new season pass, the Keystone Plus Pass, will replace the Keystone A-Basin Pass for the 2019-20 season and will include 10 buddy tickets for any passes purchased before the April deadline.
