Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Crested Butte announced today their opening dates for the winter 2022-23 season, starting with Keystone's kick-off in October and running all the way until spring with Breckenridge open well into May. Keystone will open as soon as weather and conditions permit in October, thanks to its state-of-the-art, energy-efficient snowmaking system. Breckenridge and Vail will follow on Nov. 11, and Beaver Creek and Crested Butte will open on Nov. 23. All dates are weather and conditions dependent.

Breck’s 60th anniversary season gets underway Friday with skiing and riding based out of Peak 8, plus DJ cat music, free waffles and a first chair banner break to kick off the festivities Breck plans to debut the new Freedom SuperChair this season, targeting early Dec. opening Vail Mountain opens with nearly 80-acres of terrain for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy with over 35 inches of natural snow so far this season, plus the work of Vail’s impressive snowmaking system Excitement is at an all-time high for the return of opening season events like Revely Vail, Vail Après, Powabunga and Vail Snow Days
